ABOUT ME
I have an MFA in Film & Television Production with a focus on editing from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I also studied film, drawing, and photography, as well as field biology at Guilford College in North Carolina. I have worked in the private sector, academia, and on an independent short film.
As a video editor, I have reflected on what motivates and inspires me. One of the most important is being a visually oriented person with great attention to detail. My passion for film shows in my editing skills. Editing lets me craft and enhance films through visual storytelling. My interest in this field stems from a sincere enthusiasm for the work itself, rather than a wish to make a personal statement. I see editing as an artistic and creative way to express myself visually, discovering meaning through the very act of editing.
Film and television have greatly influenced me, and editing lets me remain involved with what inspires me most. The satisfaction I derive from editing stems not from a particular narrative or genre, but rather from the process of intentionally crafting art that is both impactful and emotionally meaningful to others.

I am also deeply inspired by photography, particularly by images that capture the natural world and wildlife, and their inherent intimacy. Likewise, photography enables me to express myself visually and create art that preserves its beauty.
